Roving Readers

Roving Readers 
Grandparents, parents and friends bring the joy of reading to classrooms in their community in an approach called Roving Readers. Initiated by parents working with Tellin' Stories in one DC public school, there are now readers in schools in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. This includes a team of bilingual (Spanish/English) readers.

In 2008, parents at K.W. Barrett Elementary School in Arlington, Virginia started Roving Readers Days at their school.
